What is a Mini Pet Portrait?
You can probably tell by the name my mini pet portraits are smaller than my other standard sizes. Mini portraits to range in size depending on the photo, but my main two mini sizes are 5x7 inches and 6x6 inches square. This size option is available for both pastel portraits and oil paintings. The portrait fills a reasonable amount of this space and then for pastel portraits it is then mounted with a high quality picture mount. Oil paintings can be framed on request with a modern float frame, or I can provide a tiny little easel for them to stand on.
Why Should I Commission a Mini Pet Portrait?
I have a few different options for sizes in pet portrait commissions, so why specifically should you commission a mini pet portrait?
-
You may be on a tight budget, but still want a lovely thoughtful gift for someone you love.
-
You may be tight on time, the smaller the portrait, the less time it takes for me to complete
-
Your pet portrait photos are not of a high enough resolution or standard to commission a larger portrait

Beau the German Short Haired Pointer as a Mini Pet Portrait
Here you can see an example of an oil painted mini pet portrait. This is Beau the Short Haired Pointer. He was commissioned as a special birthday gift from a group of friends. He was framed using a black float frame, which finishes off the portrait nicely!
